Overall: Minus billing, (may update later) was wildly impressed. If you are a parent looking for a good care and anxious (okay, more anxious as you already have a sick kid) after reading some of the reviews here, I can say directly that our overall experience was the best it could be.

Treatment: Doc was great. Straightforward, and took her time explaining contingencies as unfortunately our diagnosis, while initial treatment was successful, was not 100% conclusive. Ran through other concerns, next steps, got us a treatment for symptoms that worked immediately. Even got a take home packet of additional instructions, and she let us know she would be circulating to another technician for follow up and would be in touch if there were additional concerns.

I'm giving one star, only because I cant give zero. This review starts a year ago, when my son was first born I went to this location concerned that his circumcision was infected and that he was too yellow, I was concerned about jaundice. After seeing the doctor and her telling me it was fine, I requested a second opinion. Another doctor came in and told me the same thing and that the yellow would fade. A week later he had his pediatric appointment, they took his blood work and we left. Before I even made it to the highway to get home my sons doctor called me PERSONALLY and told me to take him to the nearest emergency room IMMEDIATELY as his bilirubin levels were devastatingly high and he was indeed jaundice. We spent 3 days in recovery, we was weeks old at the time. Flash forward to yesterday 11/21/17 at 6am. I took my eldest son into the same location concerned he had croup. They admitted us and sent us home saying he had a cold. This morning I took both my boys to their pediatrician to be told that they both indeed have croup. My youngest needed a shot of steroids and is now being monitored for his breathing. Had I known my oldest had croup I would have taken my youngest in immediately as i know how contagious it is. This location without a doubt has no consideration for the children, they want you in and out as soon as possible and don't give any attention to the ones who need it, I'm extremely disappointed to say that this is the children's hospital that's nearest to me. I will NEVER take my children to this blatantly negligent hospital again.

Horrible. I should have read reviews prior b/c or experience was right in line with the others. My child went on for simple labs and we waited over 45 min. During that time my child was seizing b/c she couldn't take her meds or eat before having blood drawn. After waiting for what I would consider an unacceptable length of time, we were told they don't do these types of labs at this location. Obviously this is breakdown in communication and/or organization. They tout being one of "the very best in the nation" on the sign at the front desk. I'm not sure what the criterion is to achieve that status but in my view they should take it down! I'd like to think I'm understanding of errors but not for something as simple as breakdowns in communication particularly at the detriment of the patients (children) they are supposed to be caring for. Hands down ranks as one of the worst experiences and again NOT one of the best children's medical facilities in the nation.

Was concerned reading some of the reviews here when fast debating whether or not to take my five year old after hours (1a) to an ER or here for a concerning condition. While many of the negative reviews here center on billing (I have not yet been billed so I cannot comment) wanted to address the experience directly.

Nursing: A+, friendly, informative, great with my kid, attentive and accessible. Add in radiology, everyone we interacted with was very solid, very pleasurable to boot.

If I could, I would give this place no stars. Do NOT take your children here because you may be risking their lives. My little sister, who's currently 10 years old goes for routine blood draws (ever since she was 2) usually at the children's hospital in aurora but we will occasionally go here since we live closer to north campus... but ever single time this place does not fail to disappoint us. The nurses here are so badly trained, I'm not sure how they ever got hired in the first place. My sister went in for a blood draw this morning and they would not listen to my mom's advice to use a smaller needle since my sister's veins are very small. Yes, my mom only has gone to the hospital with her for 8 years but hey, they think they know better. So they poke her arm over and over and over again in the same spot. Then onto the hand, over and over and over again. No blood. She's crying but trying so hard to be brave as they want to go for more! They're trying to get TWO tubes of blood. My mom has had enough, tells them to stop and decides to drive her an hour out to the children's hospital in aurora. They look at her notes and say that all she needs is a FINGER PRICK! A finger prick! Are you serious! They were about to drain all her blood at the North Campus. The funny thing is, we took my little sister to this place a couple of months ago to do a finger prick and they happen to miss her finger and the needle went into her nail? How does this even happen?! Been trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt since it can depend on different nurses/staff, but after going to this place over 10 times, we now understand that this establishment is not worth it. This place needs to re-examine the people they hire and learn how to train their staff every couple of weeks. YES I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT!

My 2 yr old had a fever of 103.5 and climbing. We rushed in at 830 at night and sat waiting to see someone till after 10. The hospital gave us very limited information and did nothing in regards to screening him to find if there was any kind of infection. Just a visual check of his ears and throat. Gave him Motrin and sent us on our way. Next day fever jumped to 104.2! We knew nothing and rushed back to ER because 104 is the danger zone. This time somewhere better. Within 5 minutes the nurse without any screening talked to us and gave us all the information we needed to clear the whole thing right up. I’ve now got an ER bill that could have been prevented had Children’s just given us knowledge when we were there the night before. Never going back that’s for sure.

Front desk check in: Quick, easy, direct. No issues, waited less than five minutes and another 10 to be greeting by the nurse and walked back.
