was charged $2000 + for a doctor to tell me I had a tension headache. No prescriptions were given. I was there 20 minutes. Was an ER affiliated with this hospital. Disputed the charges with them and I still don't know exactly what the outcome is. The service was in May, it is now November. Absolute price gouging in a profession that is already known for ridiculous margins for hospital/ER care.
I just had surgery on my ankle here today by Dr. Moon, and the staff is amazing, it was quick, I have to stay the night but the food is also amazing. I highly recommend this hospital and I've been to a lot of hospitals lol also if you get Dr. Moon for a surgeon, then your in very good hands!
DO NOT COME HERE! I came in today because I got bit by something on my hand which was more then likely a spider, there were 2 puncture marks. My hand swelled up was very red and itchy and painful everyone was very friendly until Dr. Dehler came in. She was very rude and basically came in and told me there was nothing they could do. She looked at my hand and kept talking to me like i was dumb for even coming in for this and made it seem like as if I was exaggerating or Something! She made me feel stupid for even coming in to get it checked out when anyone who saw it told me to go get it looked at because it didn't look good. I ended up having a few words with her and just walked out! SHE is a poor excuse for a Doctor!!
My actual hospital experience was great. All of the staff was great and attentive, its the billing process that is the problem. My appointment was in late February and they are still sending bills my direction (it is now late May). I have 4 different balances and I've called all different numbers that they have provided and none of them can give me a straight answer. The most frustrating process that I am STILL dealing with.
I took my husband here in the middle of the night with severe abdominal pain. The ER was clean and welcoming and the staff was pleasant and kind. He was seen immediately and was given 1 liter of IV fluid, no meds, a couple of labs and an abdominal CT scan. Everything was normal and he was discharged within about an hour. We were absolutely devastated when we received the bill a month later.The total cost of the visit was $15,000! We are responsible for $5,000. We both work in healthcare and have not been seen in an ER in over 10 years. It is absolutely heartbreaking to be socked with a bill of this magnitude. I feel as though i can not seek medical attention on the rare occasion that i need it, because it will financially crush me. We have taken all of the appropriate steps to reduce and/or negotiate this bill, including begging. I have given birth to 2 children and the cost combined was not even close to this visit. We will Never return to a UCHealth facility! My husband works for a major hospital and at his recent Benefits fair, they were telling people not to go to UCHealth Broomfield. I have discouraged everyone I know to avoid UChealth Broomfield and their over inflated, unregulated billing practices. They are absolutely taking advantage of vulnerable people.
